Meet Nicole Dunn, CEO
I am an entrepreneur with a creative heart and an analytical brain. I always dreamt of being a clothing buyer but instead life took me in a different direction. I knew I always wanted to have my own business, but I just didn’t know how it was going to take place until Accounting chose me as a 2nd life career. The 1st 17 years of my working career was in the mortgage foreclosure industry as a paralegal. I was always researching and fixing issues that occurred and managed other people, but the never-ending layoffs told me it was time to go back to school.
Now here I am with my 4-year Accounting degree and a Business Administration background from Strayer University with many years of experience to go with it. My paralegal career was a great segue into the accounting industry, because not only is accounting about numbers, but it is about telling your clients a story about their finances. I was taught that accounting is the life of any business. Your financial situation can make or break your business and you must know the formula or have the keys to stay in the growth lane to maintain. Not only am I great with numbers but I also know how to explain and simplify your money situation. Being the Virtual Controller is now my passion.
I have dedicated myself to being a Certified Partner with several accounting software companies and learning different Payroll software and with the creative heart I have, I have found a way to marry both passions by being involved in Non-profit organizations that help in the community and Pageants that empower women with Locs. All in All, I am a well rounded entrepreneur with a creative heart and analytical brain.
